HENDERSON, Ky. -- Partnership of Women referred to as POW! (pronounced like WOW!) has announced the 2020 Grant Finalists.
The three finalists are Humane Society of Henderson County, OVAL/Tourism Commission, and Salvation Army.
Finalists will make presentations at our Virtual Event being held in November. All POW! Members will have the opportunity to view the presentations and vote to choose the winner of the 2020 Impact Grant.
These three were chosen after POW! members were able to speak virtually to each finalists and thoroughly reviewed all grant applications submitted during our open grant cycle. Each year POW! is privileged to provide funding to local non-profits that provide worthy services to the community of Henderson.
The three finalists will give a short no frills presentation on why they should receive the largest impact grant. One $15,000 award will be given and the runners up will receive $3,000 each based on votes of the members.
This marks the eighth year for POW! raising over $30,000 each year through individual and group memberships and supporting operational sponsorships. The organization has put over $200,000 to immediate work in the community in seven years. The other portion is placed in an endowment to grow the organization in perpetuity, increasing future giving.
If you have interest in becoming a member of POW! please contact Susan Sauls, Membership Chair via email at email@example.com.
