Parking enforcement in Central Business District to resume

HENDERSON, Ky. -- With the reopening of retail businesses and restaurants to in-person visits and sit-down dining, the City of Henderson will resume the enforcement of three-hour parking in the Central Business District.

Enforcement will resume on Tuesday, May 26.

Free parking is available for three-hour increments in the numbered spaces downtown.

The City of Henderson and its community partners have worked to find the proper balance in making parking spaces available for the convenience of both those who work and own businesses downtown as well as shoppers, diners and others who desire to conduct business.

Parking enforcement has been suspended downtown during the city’s state of emergency declared for the COVID-19 pandemic.

As a reminder, all-day free parking is available in several areas of downtown, including South Elm Street from Center to Washington adjacent to Central Park, Washington Street from Elm to Water and the north side of Third Street from Water Street to Main Street.
