Henderson Municipal Center being closed to public until further notice

As a precaution regarding the COVID-19, the Henderson Municipal Center at 222 First St. is now closed to the public until further notice.

Customers may pay utility bills using the two drive-thru lanes on the east side of the building. Staff will focus on expediting service at the drive-thrus.

Payments may also be dropped off at the City of Henderson utility drop box in the parking lot of The Depot building at 101 N. Water St. Customers should take care to use the city drop box and not the Henderson County Public Library book drop box located nearby. There’s also a night drop box.

As noted on signs at the Henderson Municipal Center entrances, people with municipal-related emergencies should call 270-831-1200.

Those needing a utility hookup should call 270-831-4996.

The offices of Audubon Area Community Services are closed but they are taking applications for assistance. Email: or call 270-826-6071.

St. Vincent de Paul also is accepting applications for assistance by telephone. Contact: 270-830-9977.

The Henderson Board of Commissioners at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, is expected to take place as planned. For public health reasons, citizens are discouraged from attending. However, it is not a closed meeting. The meeting will be televised on Spectrum Channel 200 as usual. It will also be live-streamed at the City website at WSON Radio will also broadcast the meeting.
