Public access to fire stations restricted by COVID-19 precautions

Restriction in Access and Exposure to Fire Department Facilities

Date of Incident: 03/13/2020

The Henderson Fire Department will be implementing the following protective measures in an attempt to keep our employees safe and healthy so they can continue to serve the citizens of Henderson:

  1. Access to our facilities will be limited to employees and essential personnel only until further notice. Anyone who stops by a station will be asked to ring a buzzer and wait for assistance.
  2. We are suspending all tours of our stations, apparatus, and our Ride Along Program until further notice.
  3. HFD personnel will not be participating in any special details that include large gatherings of people unless it is done in the act of an emergency response.
  4. The HFD Inspections program will be modified as well, however if you have a Life Safety concern you can contact the Inspector at (270) 831-1270 and arrangements will be made to follow up.

While we regret having to limit our access to the general public we feel that we must do so at this time to ensure that we are at our best to serve the citizens of Henderson in case of an emergency.
