Preston Arts Center at HCC restructures

College

HENDERSON, Ky. – The Preston Arts Center (PAC) at Henderson Community College (HCC) is undergoing changes, including a restructuring of the Center.

Effective immediately, Steve McCarty, HCC faculty member and current PAC Technical Director will be assuming the additional title of Building Administrator.

McCarty, a Spottsville native, attended HCC in the 1970s and earned a Master of Arts degree in Communications from Western Kentucky University in 1991. He began teaching at HCC in 1992 and has worked as a volunteer in the Center since its opening. He has served as the facility Technical Director since 2005.

Additionally, Stacey Howell, an alumni and volunteer and employee of HCC since 2000, has been named the new PAC Community Liaison. This is a new position to the PAC. Howell, a native of Vincennes, Ind., will serve as the primary contact for event scheduling and facility rentals. Howell has served HCC in various capacities over the last 20 years, starting her career as a volunteer for the PAC, before moving onto roles in Advancement, Academics, and finally, to her most recent position as Coordinator of Workforce Solutions.
