HAAA announces its 26th season of events


HENDERSON, Ky. -- The Henderson Area Arts Alliance announced the 2019-20 season of events at a special Sneak Preview event on May 13. Fulfilling the arts organization’s mission to provide quality arts experience to all, the selections include a range of musical performers, a Tony-award winning musical, award-winning dance troupe, and a famed Chicago comedy touring group.

Season tickets and options for flexible Pick 3 ticket packages are on sale now for current season ticket holders. New season ticket package sales begin June 17. Single tickets will go on sale July 8 at

Wynonna & The Big Noise

Five-time GRAMMY winner and Kentucky native, Wynonna Judd, will bring her unmistakable country music, storytelling and sound to Henderson with Wynonna & The Big Noise.

Scott Bradlee’s Postmodern Jukebox
Fri. October 18 | 7:30 p.m. 

Imagine marrying the 21st century party vibe of Miley Cyrus or the minimalist angst of Radiohead with the crackly warmth of a vintage 78 or the plunger-muted barrelhouse howl of a forgotten Kansas City jazzman.

The Second City’s Greatest Hits 
Fri. Nov. 15 | 7:30 p.m. 
The Second City opened its doors on a snowy Chicago night in December of 1959, and a comedy revolution began. We’re excited to welcome the renowned improv comedy group to the Preston Arts Center stage again!

Sat. Dec. 14 | 7:30 p.m. 
This group from California first gained popularity on YouTube singing cover music. Now composing and writing their own songs, Cimorelli is made up of six sisters & has over 1 billion YouTube views & 2.5 million Facebook fans. Enjoy this fun show featuring holiday hits!

Aquila Theatre Presents 1984
Fri. Feb 21 | 7:30 p.m. 

75 years after publishing; Aquila Theatre brings George Orwell’s cautionary novel to the Preston Arts Center stage.

Dance Kaleidoscope Presents Music Men
Sat. March 28 | 7:30 p.m. 

Dance Kaleidoscope’s Music Men features inventive choreography set to the music of Elton John, Prince, and others.

The Color Purple, The Musical
Thurs. April 30 | 7 p.m. 
This 2016 Tony award-winner, based on the 1982 novel of the same name by Alice Walker, follows the journey of Celie, an African-American woman in the American South from the early to mid-20th century.

During Monday's event David Dixon and Donald Wathen were both awarded HAAA's 2019 Outstanding Service Award, and the following organizations were presented with grants from HAAA:

Women's Honor Court - $200
