Overview
The Parks and Recreation Department provides leisure activities throughout the City of Henderson, and ensures that public resources are available to all members of the community. The department also operates the two local municipal cemeteries, Fernwood and Fairmont.

City Employee Participates in Mountain Workshops
This October, a team of Photo Journalists from around the Nation descended on Henderson, KY for the Mountain Workshops.  They spent a week documenting the people and places, creating a book and web site filled with their stories.
