When are the meetings of the Board of
Commissioners?
Regular City Commission
meetings are on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of
each month, beginning at 5:30 p.m. The Board of Commissioners
also holds a Work
Session on every 3rd Tuesday of each month, beginning at
5:30 p.m.
May anyone come and ask a question at a meeting
of the Board of Commissioners?
Citizens are always welcomed
to attend the meetings, but it may be possible to get a quicker answer

Finance and Collections
Can I buy a boat launch sticker by mail?
Yes. Send in a check or money order, payable to the City of Henderson, to PO Box 716, Henderson, KY 42419, for the amount of $10. Also include a self addressed stamped envelope.
Parks and Recreation
How do I request the use of the gazebo in Central Park?
Contact the Parks and Recreation Department at 270-831-1274 for availability.
Police
How do I request a permit to have a parade with police escort?
Send the request, in writing, to the Henderson Police Department, PO Box 516 Henderson, KY 42419. Please give as much detail about the parade as possible, including date, time, name of parade, and contact names and numbers.
Public Works
What day is my garbage picked up?
Call Public Works, 270-831-1234
with the specific address.
What is the charge for brush/trash pickup?
$20.00.
It is added to your utility bill.
What are the hours at the Landfill?
7:00am– 3:30pm Monday –
Saturday.

What items can you take to the transfer station
or landfill?
Anything but free flowing
liquids, tires, paint, oil, and batteries.

sidewalk and/or curb repair?

Where is the right-of-way
at my house?
Every right-of-way is
different. Call the Engineering Division, 831-1200.
Do I need a permit
for a curb and/or sidewalk cut?
No, but you need to call the
Engineering Division, 831-1200, to inform the City that you are going to cut and
for specific information on replacing the curb and/or sidewalk.
How do I request a streetlight be installed at a
certain location?
Send the request, in writing,
to the Office of the City Manager, Henderson Municipal Center, PO Box 716,
Henderson, KY 42419. Please state where it is to be installed and why it is
needed.
Utility Customer Service
Can I change the due date of my utility bill?
No. The area in which your
account is located establishes the due date.
How can I sign up for utility budget payment?
To inquire about budget billing, please call Customer Service at 831-1290, extension 219.
Do I have to come to the
Municipal Center to sign up for, or turn off, utility services?
Yes. This policy was
established for your protection. It keeps other people from having your utility
services turned off.
Why do I have to have a picture ID when I have
my utilities turned on or off?
This policy was established for
the protection of the customer. Other people will not be able to put utility
services in your name.
Can I pay my utility bill by
credit/debit card or over the phone?
As of this time,
we cannot accept credit card or telephone payments. However, debit cards are accepted for payments made at the Municipal Center (City Building).
