Finance and Collections

The Finance Department is responsible for the billing and collections of City utilities, taxes, parking tickets, bus tokens, boat launch permits, and other miscellaneous revenue.

 

It is composed of the following divisions

Purchasing Guidelines – All items purchased by or for the City are approved in the Finance Department. Written quotes from vendors are solicited for items that cost between $500 and $19,999. Items that cost over $20,000 are opened to public bid and awarded on either a lowest bid price or a lowest evaluated bid price basis. Certain purchases, such as those for professional services or those where the specifications cannot be made sufficiently specific to permit award on either a lowest bid price or lowest evaluated bid price, are made on either a competitive or noncompetitive basis in accordance with the Kentucky Model Procurement Code.

Payment Methods - Utilities, taxes, parking tickets, boat launch stickers, business licenses, and other payments can be made by the following methods:

  • In person on the first floor of the Henderson Municipal Center, 222 First Street
  • Using the drive-through window at the Henderson Municipal Center
  • Using the night deposit box, beside the drive-through window, at the Henderson Municipal Center
  • Mailed to the City of Henderson, PO Box 716, Henderson, KY 42419
