The City Clerk serves as a liaison between the elected officials and the people. The City Clerk’s Office prepares and maintains the documentation needed by the City Commission and maintains the Code of Ordinances as passed by the Commission.

Responsibilities

Maintains the Code of Ordinances as passed by the City Commission.

Collects the City’s Insurance Premium tax (10% on all policies sold within the City of Henderson).

Maintains legal agreements and cemetery deeds.

Maintains database of burials at Fernwood and Fairmont cemeteries.

Assigns disabled parking space permits for on-street parking.


The Office Also Collects Fees For

1. Cemetery deed transfers - $5.00
2. Zoning booklets - $20.00
3. Bucket shake permits - $5.00 per day
4. Solicitation permits - $5.00
