HENDERSON, Ky. -- Ohio Valley Art League will host an opening reception for its new exhibit "Depicting A Story" on Thursday, March 22, at the OVAL Gallery in the Citi-Center.

"Depicting A Story" is an invitational exhibit that highlights perspective and interpretation of artwork. Each artist was asked to provide a short interpretation or story of their artwork.

Matthew Graham, director of creative writing and associate professor of English at University of Southern Indiana, served as a third-party viewer of the works and gave his own interpretation of each.

On the title cards hanging next to each piece of work is the artist's interpretation first and Graham's below.

Artists featured in the exhibit are Twila Black, Iris Gentry, Janice Greene, Cedric Hustace, Conn d.Y. McConaughy, Jordyn Myracle, Chris Plummer, Susie Rideout, Barbara Rodenberg, David Rodenberg and Cynthia Watson.

The reception is set for 5 p.m. Thursday, March 22, at the OVAL Gallery at Citi-Center, 230 Second St. in downtown Henderson.

The exhibit will continue through April 5.
