UPDATE: This is a make-up trash collection week because of the holiday. Because of the road conditions, sanitation crews may be slowed down on the route they have scheduled. Please be patient. They will run their route as quickly as they possibly can.
HENDERSON, KY, January 8, 2018– Trash collection in the City of Henderson and services at the landfill/transfer station will be operating on a different schedule the week of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday on Monday, Jan. 15.
Monday, Jan. 15, is a holiday for City of Henderson employees and there will be no trash collection that day.
Here’s the schedule for the week:
Monday, Jan. 15: Holiday. No collection.
Tuesday, Jan. 16: Regular Monday routes and that portion of the Tuesday routes that lies north of 12th Street (including Harding Trailer Park) will be collected.
Wednesday, Jan. 17: The remainder of the Tuesday routes and Wednesday routes will be collected.
Thursday, Jan. 18: Normal collection.
Friday, Jan. 19: Normal collection.
Residential trash collection begins at 5 a.m.
The landfill/transfer station also will be closed on Monday, Jan. 15. It will reopen for normal operations at 7 a.m., on Tuesday, Jan. 16.
Recycling pickup in the City of Henderson will be running on a normal schedule.
