HENDERSON, Ky. -- Organizers of the W.C. Handy Blues & Barbecue Festival are looking for volunteers for their 27th-annual event.
Festival dates are June 14-17. The main music stage in Audubon Mill Park will offer music from Wednesday through Saturday this year.
Volunteers are needed for souvenir stand sales, soft drink sales, hospitality and other jobs.

The Handy Festival, which celebrates the late "Father of the Blues" W.C. Handy's residence in Henderson, was voted the 2016 Best Festival in Kentucky through Kentucky Living Magazine. It is also a Top 20 event for summer designated by the Southeast Tourism Society.
